BTS’ Suga issues an apology after being caught riding a scooter while intoxicated. Suga, who also goes by Agust D as a solo artist, is addressing fans after an incident involving police in Seoul. He took to Weverse to explain the situation, saying, in part, “I violated road traffic laws without realizing that I was not allowed to use an electric kickboard while drunk due to the simple thought that it was a short distance away.”
BTS’ record label, BIG HIT, issued a statement explaining that Suga was wearing a helmet and that no one nor any property was hurt or damaged during the incident. Suga went on to give more details, saying, “While setting up my electric scooter at the front gate of my house, I fell alone. A police officer was nearby, and as a result of a breathalyzer test, my license was revoked and I was fined.”
Suga is currently serving mandatory military service in South Korea. BIG HIT added, “As a social service agent during his military service, he is prepared to accept any disciplinary actions from his place of work for causing a social disturbance.”
