Domelipa & Ozuna’s ‘Ese Vato’ & More: Which Is Your Favorite New Latin Music Release This Week? Vote!
This week, Billboard’s New Music Latin roundup and playlist — curated by Billboard Latin and Billboard Español editors — features fresh new music from artists such as Domelipa, Ivan Cornejo, Danny Ocean, Sofía Reyes with Lasso and more.
Mexican influencer Domelipa, who recently signed to Sony Music Latin, released “Ese Vato” with Puerto Rican hitmaker Ozuna. Produced by Ovy on the Drums, the song is a flirtatious, retro pop-rock tune that narrates the story of two people who really like each other but don’t want any strings attached.
“This is an incredible opportunity that helps both of us — Ozuna on the influencer side because it’s very popular right now, and me on the music side,” Domelipa previously told Billboard about her collab with Ozuna. “It was cool being able to meet him and talk to him. I admire him a lot, and these are things that a young Dome wouldn’t believe yet.”

Venezuelan singer-songwriter Danny Ocean released Venequia., an EP dedicated to his native country, from the perspective of an emigrant, and mainly driven by electronic rhythms that merge with reflective lyrics. Meanwhile, Ivan Cornejo delivers his highly anticipated Mirada (the Spanish word for “gaze”), which follows his 2022 Dañado set.
“I fell in love with that word [mirada] through the songwriting process for this album,” Cornejo said in a statement. “It felt soft and gentle. It’s a deep word, and I love how it looks visually. The title track references a gaze from your lover, the kind of look that you may perceive from someone who’s falling out of love with you. A gaze can forever change your life.”
Last week, TIMØ’s “Superpoder” won the poll with more than 40 percent of the votes. Who should win this week? Give these new releases a spin and vote on them below.
