Kim Loaiza, Morat & More: Which Is Your Favorite New Latin Music Release of the Week?
This week, Billboard’s New Music Latin roundup and playlist — curated by Billboard Latin and Billboard Español editors — features fresh new music from artists such as DannyLux, Morat, Kim Loaiza, and more.
In a first collaborative effort, Kim Loaiza and Codiciado deliver a defiant corrido called “QuesoXTE,” a clever twist on “Qué Soporte.” Blending guitars and brass instruments, the Mexican pair sing about ephemeral success and handling haters. “I’m clear that envy is a disease/ And I truly hope you get better,” Loaiza chants. Codiciado’s seasoned voice alongside Loaiza’s cheeky sass forge a dynamic interplay on the track, crafting an anthem that celebrates overcoming adversity and seizing the moment.
Another fiery collaboration out this week is “Alegría” by Tiago PZK, Anitta and Emilia, a captivating Brazilian funk with fun lyrics in Spanish and Portuguese (and even some English). Though the irresistible track forms part of Tiago’s eclectic album GOTTI A, released on July 4, the song — which had previously been unavailable to listen to on streaming services — is now officially available on the tracklist as a playable song on DSPs.
