The Lox Perform Their Classics on NPR’s Tiny Desk: Watch
Waking up on a Friday morning and realizing The Lox did a Tiny Desk concert hits harder than a strong cup of coffee.
Since destroying Dipset in the most memorable of Verzuz battles, the trio out of Yonkers have reached a new level of popularity. Fans new and old appreciate Styles, Jadakiss, and Sheek for their loyalty and cohesion as they’re one of the only groups in music history to have never broken up, going on 30 years strong. Their cohesion and professionalism was on full display again during their NPR Tiny Desk set on Friday (Aug. 2).
The group ran through the classics such as Styles P’s “Good Times” from his debut solo album A Gangster and a Gentleman and “Money, Power, & Respect” from their debut group album of the same name. They even made sure they did something for the ladies with Sheek performing his song “Good Love” from his third album, Silverback Gorilla. While they opened the set up with the instrumental to Jada’s street classic “All for the Love,” they did end it with his and Styles’ ultimate party starter “We Gonna Make It” from Jada’s debut album Kiss tha Game Goodbye.
